Janet Gapen, Geography Graduate Student

Janet Gapen is a second year graduate student at UNCC, pursuing a master of arts in Geography with a concentration in Urban-Regional Analysis. She studied at the University of Memphis and later at UNCC where she received a bachelor of science in Geography. 

Janet has held internships with two local municipalities to study pedestrian and connectivity issues. Most recently she worked with Dr. Edd Hauser on a pedestrian and bicycle study for the City of Lincolnton, NC. She also worked on a joint policy-development initiative between UNCC and HUD concerning Charlotte inner city neighborhoods.
